I had such a fantastic day today. Today was Ki's going away party. He was having a BBQ down at the beach at Broadbeach. It wasn't starting 'til 11 but I was picking up at 9 to help him get everything down there. Poor kid hadn't slept for 3 days thanks to work and moving and stuff. So it was fun. he he We went down to the supermarket and bought everything because all his stuff was packed away. So he bought tongs and knifes and all sorts of standard BBQ things. And sausages and food. We ran into Warren while at the store... that was interesting. He's really aged in the past 8 months since I last saw him. I think the drugs and drinking are finally catching up on him.
Anyway, we went down to the park and played cricket and soccer and frisbee and stuff. It was brilliant. I actually got sunburned. I couldn't believe it! I'm stoked that I was outside long enough for me to get burned.
It was so awesome getting to spend some time with Ki, too, and not be in the house. I was out and about and feeling good. And to think I started the day not wanted to go outside at all.
I forget how much I love being outdoors and doing stuff. From now on I'm going to spend at least one day a week outside. Even if it's just sitting outside to read or walk in the park or something. The air does good things to you.
Now I'm off to moisturise my burns. he he :D
